Scouts and Girl Guide groups celebrate 75 years in Sidcup and Lamorbey by inviting former members back

The reunion event takes place next month

Former Scouts and Girl Guides are being invited to return to their old units in Sidcup and Lamorbey to mark their 75th anniversary next month.

Together, 4th Lamorbey (Holy Trinity) Brownies and Guides, with 4th Sidcup Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers are celebrating their birthday on Saturday July 8 by sharing stories of years gone by.

Brownie leader at 4th Lamorbey Louise Matthews said: “We are so proud our units have continued to thrive over the years and we can not wait to hear lots of stories and anecdotes of Guiding and Souting at Holy Trinity.

“It would be amazing if we could find some of the original members who would have joined when they were seven or eight.”

The event take takes place at Holy Trinity Church on Hurst Road in Sidcup from 2pm and will include a ‘bring your own’ picnic in the church grounds, RSVP to by next Wednesday, July 5.
