A Sidcup man was one of 20 fearless volunteers who abseiled from the roof of St Pancras International Station to raise money for the Commando Spirit Appeal.

David Letton, 49, helped raise £150,000 in total as part of Take The Leap, scaling heights from other iconic locations such as Twickenham Stadium and The Shard.

Commando Spirit founder and director Sally-Anne Hunter said: “Take The Leap has been a resounding success thanks to the determination of our amazing participants like Daivd Letton.

“They showed their own commando spirit by taking part and helping us in our mission.”

Having a brand new kitchen is something that lots of people want but can only dream of. Sadly keeping up to date and making our living spaces as nice as they can be is a costly and incredibly stressful business. Even a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference but isn’t easy or quick.

Who wouldn’t love the chance to go on a shopping spree. Imagine being able to walk into a shop and choose whatever your heart desires without having to worry about how much it costs.
