Louise Hope is the assistant leader with the Blackfen Rainbow Unit and has been named a Queen’s Guide.

The 26-year-old said: “Completing all my varied elements of my Queen’s Guide award was both interesting and challenging. Working for this award has shown me anything is possible if you believe in yourself.”

The primary school teacher’s achievements included working on a river pollution project for Thames21 and qualifying as a first-aider.

The award was presented to her by Baroness Janet Royall, the host of a ceremony at the House of Lords last Wednesday (June 27).
