Students raise money for Bexley charities

Students have raised £586 for Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice and a pet rescue charity through a number of different initiatives.
Anim-Mates Animal Rescue, which services Bexley, and the hospice benefited from the donation from five post-16 students at Charlton School.
Their fundraising included a raffle, car cleaning events as well as making and selling jewellery at Greenwich Market.
Vanessa Hill, from the hospice, said: “We are embedded in the local community so it was great for us to work with students to highlight the work we do.
“We are really impressed by the hard work the students put in to raise much-needed funds.”
The projects provided valuable work experience for the students as well as bringing important aspects of citizenship and community cohesion to their attention.
