Roadworks will be taking place on the M25 from today (March 9), affecting areas across Bromley, Bexley and Kent.

Barrier repairs on the A20 will be affecting Swanley, with the westbound entry slip road closed overnight on Monday, March 12 between 10pm and 5am.

A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A20 eastbound, A225, B2174, A2018 and the A223 to Crittals Corner.

Routine maintenance at the Dartford Crossing on the A282 will also continue, with the following closures in place overnight, between 8.30pm and 5.30am:

· Monday March 12: northbound east tunnel

· Tuesday March 13: northbound east tunnel

· Wednesday March 14: northbound east tunnel

· Thursday March 15: northbound east tunnel

· Friday March 16: northbound east tunnel

· Saturday March 17: northbound east tunnel

· Sunday March 18: northbound east tunnel

Fully signed diversions will be in place during the northbound east tunnel closures for oversized vehicles.

The QEII Bridge will also be closed overnight, on Saturday, March 17, between 10pm and 5am.

Southbound traffic will be diverted through the east tunnel.

Highways England is working with the industry and road users to reduce the risks of working on the roads.

For the safety of road workers and all road users, when approaching roadworks, motorists are advised to keep within the speed limit, get into the correct lane in good time, not to be distracted by the roadworks, be alert for works’ traffic leaving or entering roadworks, keep a safe distance, observe all signs and be alert for road workers.
