Teenager in court charged with murder of three-year-old Erith boy

A 17-year-old from Charlton has appeared before magistrates charged with the murder of a three-year-old boy at the child’s home in Erith last year.

The youth faces four charges, including murder on January 21 last year, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, on or before December 14 2010, assault occasioning actual bodily harm on January 17 2011 and assault occasioning grievous bodily harm on January 21 2011.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was remanded in custody by magistrates yesterday and will appear before Bexley Youth Court on Friday March 2.
