The visitors from Sussex took the lead after 12 minutes through a header from Lloyd Cotton.

Thamesmead kept battling and got their reward with just over 10 minutes remaining. Rikki Cable (CORRECT) was pushed in the penalty area and Ashley Probets stepped up to hammer home the spot kick.

The home side almost won the game in the dying minutes when Cable was denied by Burgess Hill goalkeeper Mark Zawadski (CORRECT).

The replay was due to be played on at 7.30pm on Tuesday night (September 18).

Mead can look forward to a local derby away to Cray Wanderers in the FA Cup second qualifying round on Saturday (September 22).
