A range of entertainment takes place over the weekend

The countryside is set to arrive in a Bexleyheath park this weekend for its annual showing.

The Danson Park Country Fair takes place on Saturday and Sunday, with organisers expecting thousands of visitors.

Following on from last year’s success, Oakleigh Fairs says the park is “one of their most popular shows,” adding: “We are delighted to be returning to Danson and we hope the show will become the must-do destination for families over the weekend both this year and for many more to come’.

This year’s event will include historical re-enactments, circus workshops, bird of prey flying displays, petting pens and a performance from the Savage Bike Skills Display Team.

On Sunday The Companion Dog Show is inviting anyone with a canine friend to come and join in, with proceeds from the competition going to Marie Curie care.

Tickets are available on the gate with adults costing £7.50, concessions £6, children £3 and a family ticket for two adults and two children costing £19.
