Nifemi Agbebi was chosen as the winner of the competition run by community charity Trust Thamesmead, on Monday (28).

Nifemi and the two runners up Idelisa Simpson, 3, and Wajid Ali Khan, 3, were presented with framed copies of their designs and sets of arts and crafts materials, by the Trust’s chief executive Mick Hayes, as the Christmas lights were switched on in Thamesmead town centre.

The winning card will now be used for the charity’s Christmas card this year.

Mr Hayes said: “Arts and crafts play an important role in early learning so this year we decided to set the children the challenge of designing our Christmas card. We were overwhelmed by the results as there were some really wonderful entries to choose from.”
