Bexley Times and Archant London, publishers of your local newspaper, are to present the second annual Archant London Environmental Awards.

We are calling on individuals, schools, businesses and community groups across London, Essex and Kent to show us their green streak.

Protecting the environment has always been an important issue of ours and what better way to acknowledge our green readers than to reward them for their environmental contributions.

From recycling cans or toner, to energy conservation and travel to work schemes, if you have a "green" strategy in place, or have built a plan that you intend to implement over the coming twelve months, we want to hear from you.

Entries are welcome from all of our readers, schools, businesses and community groups.

For your chance to win, simply fill out our environmentally friendly entry form online and you could be invited to the annual awards ceremony at New Providence Wharf Radisson on Friday, 20th November 2009.

This year's guest host is BBC presenter and "eco queen", Penney Poyzer. Penney is a true champion of all things green and is a published author, lecturer and broadcaster.
