TODDLERS everywhere are getting ready to run their socks off in a fundraising race.

Parents across the district are invited to register for The Barnardo's Big Toddle 2009 at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park near Ashford on June 3.

Supported by Fairy Non Bio Gel, the Big Toddle is the UK's biggest fundraising event for the under-fives.

Barnardo's supporter and double Olympic gold medallist Daley Thompson said: "I have taken part in the Barnardo's Big Toddle with my two sons in the past, and this year we are planning to go to our local Toddle in Brighton."

The decathlete added: "The Big Toddle is a fun and simple idea and raises funds for the vital work Barnardo's does throughout the UK."

Registration, which is free for under-fives and £7.50 for up to two accompanying adults, is at 10am and the Big Toddle will start at 10.45am.
