Traffic is mounting on the London-bound A2 following a crash.

Emergency services are at the scene and have temporarily closed the carriageway just under the bridge for the B255 Bean Lane junction.

All traffic is being taken off the Bean Lane exit B255 and then on to the A2 once past the incident.

Delays are currently back to the A227 Wrotham Road.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journey and expect long delays in the area.

It is not clear whether anyone has been injured in the crash.

Kent County Council Highways have not given an expected time for the carriageway to reopen.
