The school was hit by heavy rain over the weekend

A Sidcup school is set to reopen tomorrow (Thursday) after heavy rain forced it to close for three days.

Heavy rain flooded Kemnal Technology College’s main building at the weekend, and the all-boys secondary school remained closed from Monday to Wednesday.

Earlier today, the school announced it would reopen on Thursday morning.

A statement on the school’s website read: “We are pleased to announce the College will be open as normal tomorrow, Thursday November 24.

“Work is still in progress to repair the damage from a burst mains water pipe over the weekend but water and heating has now been restored and the site is now safe to open.

“Sorry for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your continued support.”
