Mrs Daga currently holds the Mrs London Galaxy title

A Welling mother has reached the final of a national pageant after applying to the competition for the first time.

Kavita Daga, 31, had never entered a pageant before, but decided to try when she saw entrants needed no background in the competitions.

The qualified engineer, who works for Vodafone, then won the title of Mrs London Galaxy and will now compete in Mrs Galaxy UK 2018.

The mother-of-one said: “I am feeling quite confident, I think the judges will be interested in seeing someone without a background in fashion and beauty.

“When I applied I didn’t have any professionally taken photographs, I just submitted natural pictures of me and they were received well.

“I cannot wait to meet the other girls.”

The winner of Mrs Galaxy UK on March 22 will travel to America to compete in Mrs Galaxy International.
