Aron Baker started a painting and decorating course at North West Kent College three years ago and has won the paint company’s southern regional finals three years in a row.

The 20-year-old said: “I was over the moon when I found out I had won the award.

“My tutor has been really encouraging and I’m still celebrating.”

The college, based in Oakfield Lane, Dartford, was also awarded Dulux Decorator’s Centre of the Year title and will host next year’s event.

Tutor Philip Jubb said: “I am so proud of what Aron has achieved. He is an outstanding decorator and well-rounded young man.

“He is a credit to both the family and the college.”
