Week five of the competition will test bakers’ pastry skills

Week five of the Great British Bake Off kicks off tonight, as the county’s bakers take on pastry week.

Kent’s bakers Jane Beedle and Rav Bansal are still in the competition, with the latter surviving a scare in last week’s episode.

Jane from Beckenham, and Erith’s Rav will be hoping to stay in the competition, with the number of baker’s currently down to eight.

Episode five airs on BBC One at 8pm tonight.
