Children can enter competition at creative writing session

Children have the chance to win a trip to Disneyland Paris at a creative writing workshop in Crayford over the Easter holidays.

Explore Learning, in Stadium Way, is running a day of English and maths sessions on Tuesday, April 14 – and everyone is welcome.

The sessions are as follows:

Fun with Phonics, ages five and six: noon to 1pm

Number bonds, ages six and seven: 1.30pm to 2.30pm

National Young Writers’ Award creative writing, ages seven to 11, 3pm to 4pm – children can enter their work into a competition to win a trip to Disneyland Paris.

Reigning Romans, ages eight to 10: 4.30pm to 5.30pm

Humorous language, ages 11 to 14: 6pm to 7pm

Booking is essential – call 01322 352760. Parents will also be able to book one-to-one sessions for their child with a tutor to see if they need extra help.

Head of curriculum Carey Ann Dodah said: “Our aim is to encourage children to love English and maths and to build their confidence in class.”

Explore Learning teaches English and maths to children aged five to 14 at 110 centres across the UK.
