This week’s Help A Pet appeal is seeking homes for a pair of cats and a young rabbit who have one thing in common: they were all rescued by concerned neighbours.

Rupert and Alice were left behind when their owner moved to a new home. A neighbour took them in, but her own two cats did not get on well with the newcomers.

Their fosterer Teresa Bloomfield said: “These siblings, who are about two and a half years old, are very affectionate and love cuddles and a lot of attention.

“Their sweet nature goes with their good looks.”

Both have been neutered, micro-chipped and are fully vaccinated.

If you can offer them a home call Teresa on 01634 271456 or 07743 331397.

Marley’s owner told his neighbour that he was going to set the 11-month-old free, who offered to find a home for the rabbit.

His fosterer Julie Baxter said: “We would like Marley, who we have vaccinated against myxomatosis and neutered, to go to a home where this is a female rabbit with who he can bond.”

If you can offer Marley a home, call Julie on 07958 031884.

Anim-Mates is an animal rescue group based in north-west Kent and south-east London.

All the animals are cared for in the homes of fosterers who treat them as their own pets until they are re-homed.

All new homes are vetted. Anim-Mates is run entirely by volunteers.

To see all the animals in the care of Anim-Mates visit www.anim-mates.org.uk.
