Canterbury ladies’ hockey player Natalie Seymour has featured for Great Britain as part of a warm up event for the Olympics.

The 24-year-old defender has been in the Great Britain team which has been playing at the Olympic hockey venue in London in the Visa Internationl Invitational Hockey Tournament against Argentina, Korea, and China this week, and are currently top of the standings after winning two of the three games.

Today they defeated China 3-0 thanks to a two penalty corners from Leicester defender Crista Cullen either side of University of Birmingham’s Susie Gilbert goal two minutes from full time.

The result puts Great Britain top of the table at the end of day two following Argentina’s goalless draw with Korea.

On Wednesday, May 2, they defeated Korea 1-0 thanks to a goal from Alex Danson, while Argentina beat China 3-0.

On Saturday Great Britain take on Argentina, and Korea play China.

The finals take place on Sunday.
