James Dasaolu reached the semi finals of the 100m sprint with a season’s best time of 10.13 seconds as Usain Bolt triumphed in his heat.

The Croydon sprinter had a fast start and was alongside Daniel Bailey as they reached the halfway mark.

But Bolt charged through to win in a, relatively slow for his standards, 10.09 seconds, with Bailey second on 10.12 and 10.13 for Dasaolu.
