A video art exhibition testing your earthly existence opens this-evening (Friday) at Fish Island on the banks of the River Lea in London’s East End.
The show at Foreman’s fish-smoking plant in Stour Road, Old Ford, opposite the 2012 Olympics stadium, tests the boundaries of the viewer’s “earthly existence, human psychology and patterns of social behaviour.”
Video works on show are experiments where the outcomes are unknown—even to the artists.
It is titled ‘Of this Event, I Cannot Foresee the End’—but it ends on April 1. Until then, the exhibition opens to the public each Thursday and Friday, 5-9pm, and weekends 12-5pm.
In an adult version of the school exchange trip, artists associated with Bethnal Green’s Museum of Childhood swapped countries and gained the inspiration to create a new exhibition.
