Children’s activities, cooking demonstrations, cider tasting and the chance to experience a steam driven apple press are all on offer at a special apple day at Red House.

The activities will be at the garden of William Morris’ former home in Red House Lane, Bexleyheath, on Sunday, October 2, from 11am until 5pm.

Head Gardener at the National Trust property, Helen Bartlett, said: “There will be a mix of dessert and cooking apples as well as quinces. And they are all organic. We hold the event every year and it is great fun.”

Entrance is 50 pence per person.
