Henry Moore sculpture to return to Greenwich Park

A Henry Moore sculpture is returning to its original home in Greenwich Park for two years.

The Henry Moore Foundation loaned the sculpture, called Large Standing Figure: Knife Edge, made in 1976, to the Royal Parks for two years, so that it will be in place in the park throughout the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

It was originally installed in Greenwich Park in 1979 after Moore chose the spot. But it was removed in February 2007 by the Henry Moore Foundation, which owns it, to tour the USA and Russia as part of an exhibition.

It is due to be installed in the park next Wednesday (7). It measures almost five metres on its plinth.
