Nitin Ranpuria, 28, from Shooters Hill, began organising matches five years ago in Bexley with highly stylised male and female characters participating in matches.

They combine theatrical performance with the sport, a range of characters and audience participation.

Mr Ranpuria, who is a presenter on the Bollywood television channel B4U said: “It’s like pantomime.

“We will make people want to get off their chairs and boo or cheer. Children love it and the parents and grandparents get involved too.

“It’s a great day out for the whole family.”

On October 8, a new champion will be crowned at the Falconwood Community Centre, Falconwood Parade, Welling.

It will start at 3pm with another show taking place in November. For more information go to www.facebook.com/#!/groups/7243616933/
