Bexleyheath and Barnehurst Bowls Club to host free sessions in bid to raise member numbers

Bexleyheath and Barnehurst Bowls Club is offering people a chance to have a go at playing bowls for free.
Bowls is a sport in which the objective is to roll biased balls so that they stop close to a smaller ball called a jack or kitty. It cn be played by people of all ages.
The club is looking to recruir new members and has arranged four open day sessions to be held at their bowls green in Russell Park, Long Lane, ont the following dates:
- Saturday May 13 between 10am and 12pm.
- Sunday May 14 between 10am and 12pm.
- Monday May 15 between 2pm and 4pm.
No previous experience or special equipment is needed for these sessions. Players need to wear flat shoes.
Throughout the summer tjhe club has a programme of both friendly games and competitive matches against other clubs mostly located in north Kent. These include games for ladies only, men only and mized teams.
