Welling star Charlie Jones is facing a return to normality today after his group were booted off reality TV show the X Factor on Sunday night.

Stereo Kicks, the eight-strong boy band, failed to secure enough public votes to find themselves in the bottom two.

Forced to sing for their survival against Lauren Platt, even the judges were torn and it was forced to return to the public vote once more as it was takent to ‘deadlock’.

Having polled the fewest votes the band were out.

It will come as a blow to Charlie Jones - the 14-year-old who was dreaming of stardom.

However, local interest continues in the popular ITV show.

Ben Haenow, who grew up in West Wickham, remains in the contest. He’s also become the new favourite to win.
