Dreamland's new-look opens to the public this month


The amusement park is due to reopen at the end of the month after rennovation work

Dreamland Margate has reveiled the line-up for its opening weekend and relaunch beginning Friday, May 26.

Los Angeles, rhythm and blues band Vintage Trouble will launch the outdoor Scenic Stage with a free concert.

More vintage rides, modern art installations and street food will be on offer, as well as new bar Ziggy’s rooftop.

Free to enter, Dreamland will officially open its doors at 5pm, unvileing its makeover for the first time.

Steven Mitchell, CEO of Dreamland, said: “Our opening weekend celebrations are a sign of things to come. We have curated a new age of seaside culture and are presenting something truly unique in Britain today, all while embracing our rich history.

“We’re incredibly excited to relaunch the park and are sure it will have a lasting effect on local people and businesses. There’s a great future ahead.”

The park will be open throughout the half term; FUN DMC’s daytime hip-hop block party for kids and parents at the Scenic Stage on Monday May 29. Mermaid and Pirate School, and Teddy and Betty land will also be available.
