Enjoy stunning coastline scenery at a fun family event
Fancy helping to map the coastline between Dover and Folkestone? You can do so while enjoying incredible sea views at a free family event at Samphire Hoe on Sunday November 19.
The White Cliffs Countyside Partnership are asking for help to create a map of Samphire Hoe and the chalk coast using natural materials.
People of all ages are welcome. The finished map will be put on display at the site’s exhibition room, in celebration of the area’s natural beauty.
Samphire Hoe, which was created during the construction of the Channel Tunnel, covers a 30-hectare site at the foot of the famous Shakespeare Cliff.
The event will run from 11am-1pm and is free, although donations are welcome to cover the cost of resources. Parking is available on site.
For more information call Steve Walker or Charlotte Tamkin on 01304 225649. Samphire Hoe is sign-posted on the A20 from Dover to Folkestone.
