The talk will touch on Mr Wright's new book

David Wright has practised as a professional genealogist for 40 years

Local historian and author David Wright is coming along to Gravesend Library to talk about his latest book Tracing your Kent Ancestors - a guide for family and local historians.

Coming from a long-established Kentish family, Mr Wright grew up with great-aunts and uncles born in the 1870s and 1880s who enthused him with a love of the past and their Victorian childhoods.

This inspired his first researches into his family history.

He has practised as a professional genealogist for 40 years and his new book provides a handy overview of Kent’s rich collection of genealogical resources.

Copies of David’s book will be for sale and he will be signing these after the talk.

The talk will be coming to the library on November 30 from 4pm until 6pm, and tickets will include refreshments.

Booking is essential so be sure to book your ticket and get additional information via 03000 413131.
