Margate’s Dreamland has issued a reminder that the amusement park will be closed throughout the weekend to those without tickets to Gorillaz Demon Dayz.
The sell out festival is taking place on June 10, across the whole site, and it’s a ticketed event, meaning Dreamland will be closed to the general public.
Demon Dayz takes place in the new 15,000-capacity outdoor arena, and is the first live show for the virtual group, formed by Blur frontman Damon Albarn and Tank Girl artist Jamie Hewlett in seven years.
The closure also includes The Octopus’s Garden, and Roller Disco.
A spokesperson for the park said: “The amusement park will also remain closed on June 11 while we de-rig the event and tidy up.
“The Octpopus’s Garden will open as normal on Sunday and the Roller Disco will be open for skating from 2pm.”
Access to the open areas on Sunday will be via the entrance on Hall By The Sea Road, and parking will be available as usual, at the Arlington Car Park.
They added: “Dreamland will be open and ready to welcome you once again on weekends and holidays from Saturday, June 17, from 11am.”
