Daniel and Emma Reid have encorporated Maidstone into their UK tour

Folk music duo, Daniel and Emma Reid, will be touring the UK festival scene this year, and heading to Maidstone.

Emma said: “It will be a real adventure - we are brining our caravan, our two little kids and a child minder with us for a six week tour interpersed with holiday. We’re slightly nervous, but mostly just extremely excited.”

The Sweden-based duo, with Emma on violin and Daniel on sax, perform songs, self-penned tunes and traditional material from Sweden and the British Isles.

They recently released album Nära & Kära, and have collaborated with many international musicians including Ian Carr, Nikolaj Busk, Roger Tallroth, and Eskisehir’s Symphony Orchestra.

They will be playing at The Bower House, Maidstone on June 23.
