X Factor finalist John Adeleye who has mentored members of boy band JLS is set to headline this year’s Danson Festival.
He will be performing on Saturday, July 2 drawing inspiration from the likes of Prince, Stevie Wonder, Tom Vek and Nirvana.
The singer got through to the final 12 of The X Factor last year and is currently working on his forthcoming debut album with his first official single release next month, called Coming Home.
Local talent will also be able to show off their skills at the BeXfactor 2011 competition, where those aged 13 to 19 take part.
Organisers have previously announced that headlining the festival will be the soul band The Real Thing. The annual classic car display is also set to be bigger than previous years and a medieval camp is due to be set up complete with nobility and peasants.
The free event, with a main stage and a dance stage, takes place over two days, beginning on July 2.
