The workshop will be held at Wilmington Grammar School for Girls

Wilmington Grammar School for Girls is hosting a literary event with children’s poet and author Neal Zetter on May 16.

Neal will be stating an interactive session with year seven students from the grammar and five neighbouring secondary schools - Wilmington Grammar School for Boys, Wilmington Academy, The Holmesdale School, Strood Academy and Longfield Academy.

Neal is an award-winning comedy performance poet who uses writing/performing poetry to develop literacy, self-expression, creativity and presentation skills in children and young adults.

His latest book It’s Not Fine To Sit On A Porcupine is already in the UK Book Trust’s top 20 favourite children’s poetry books.

He will perform in his workshop too, as he has a 24-year track record of appearing in West End comedy and poetry clubs and theatres.
