Twinkling lights, a tickling of tinsel, a jolly Santa with his trusty reindeer, Mrs Claus, and a party of elves, await visitors to Millbrook Garden Centre in Gravesend this Christmas.

The festive countdown starts on November 19 at 11am, when excited children can gather wide-eyed to watch Santa and friends arrive in style to officially open the Magical Millbrook Grotto at Gravesend.

As well as Santa’s arrival, there will be free fun for all the family including festive singing from Northfleet’s The Knights Academy of Music and Performing Arts, face painting, balloons, Name the Elf competition and more.

Rachel Dupon, centre manager at Millbrook Garden Centre, Gravesend, says: “We are really looking forward to welcoming Santa and his furry friends to Millbrook. We hope lots of local families come to see Santa arrive as we give him a warm welcome to Gravesend. I hear Santa is very excited to meet all the boys and girls and to hear their all-important wish-list.”

Bookings on the day will be welcomed on a first come first served basis from 12pm.

A visit to the Grotto lasts around 20-30 minutes and costs £11 per child and £4 per adult.

Every paying child will receive a special gift to take home from Santa and adults will be given a complimentary voucher to enjoy a festive mince pie and hot drink in the Millbrook greencafe.

To visit Santa in the Grotto any other day, bookings can be made online at
