It’s not time to put your wellies away just yet as a free one-day music festival comes to Thamesmead next Saturday.
The Dashwood Social Club in Limehouse Walk is hosting the appropriately-named Dashwoodstock, which is making its third appearance at the club in as many years.
The event is billed as an opportunity for bands from south-east London and Kent to show off their talents, among which are sister songwriting duo McCrei.
Joining them will be Gravesend rockers Pressurehead and Ceri James, who is making his third appearance at the event, as well as south-east London four-piece Diesel Drums.
The promoters want to tap into the rich musical history of the area, spawning acts such as The Rolling Stones, Kate Bush, David Bowie and The Culture Club.
The festival runs from 4pm to 11pm on September 14. For more information call Lee Puddefoot on 07905 890669 or search Dashwoodstock on Facebook.
