Television and stage star Louie Spence will lead the cast of this year’s family pantomime, Cinderella, at Dartford’s Orchard Theatre.

The presenter and choreographer pirouetted into the nation’s consciousness thanks to the success of Sky One’s Pineapple Dance Studios. In addition to fronting television shows Mr Spence has appeared as a judge on ITV1’s Dancing on Ice and was a housemate in the 12th series of Celebrity Big Brother. Most recently he took part in The Jump for Channel 4 and Tour de Celeb, a cycling-based reality series which saw him tackle the toughest stage of the Tour de France on a 140km ordeal.

Executive producer of Cinderella, Jonathan Kiley, said: “We are thrilled that Louie will be starring in this years’ pantomime Cinderella having played the role to great critical and audience acclaim for us last year. Orchard theatre director, Chris Glover, said: “We are really excited the Louie will be joining us in Dartford this year. The Orchard’s panto has become a hot ticket in the south east and we would strongly encourage customers to book now.”

With further casting to be announced, Cinderella will be staged by Qdos Entertainment, the company behind the Theatre’s previous record-breaking productions of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Dick Whittington.
