An indefatigable boxing legend is to have his story told in a new musical

Bexleyheath’s Edward Alderton Theatre will stage Seconds Out! written by Kentish musician Terry Williams from October 14.

Mills a war hero and 1948 light heavyweight champion of the world, was the son of a rag-and-bone man who won his first bout with a knockout aged 16. His world title was only won by a series of poundings, making the boxer an indefatigable legend.

The show has a specially extended 11-day run.

For tickets priced £9 call the Edward Alderton Theatre box office on 020 8301 5584.
