RARE signed memorabilia is due to be auctioned in a fundraiser held by family and friends of slain teen Jimmy Mizen.

A signed Janice Joplin album and photo will be among lots sold at Sidcup Snooker Club from 7pm to 1am on January 31 in a bid to raise £22,000 for a 'Jimmy Bus'.

The family of 16-year-old Jimmy Mizen, who was killed near his home in Dallinger Road, Lee last May, have set about donating the buses to community groups. Danny Mizen, Jimmy's eldest brother who works in the family's shoe repair shop High Street, Sidcup, said: "After the love and support we have received from people in Sidcup we are desperate to do something to support them.

"We hope that having a Jimmy Bus here could help a lot of organisations so we want this to raise as much money as possible."

The Sparkle Auction, organised by family friend Phil Cone, will see lots sold including a 'very lary' pair of Elton John's Versace pants with a signed album. Coldplay specially signed their latest album, Viva la Vida, framed together with a photo and t-shirt. Other items will include a photo of the 1966 England Football squad signed by the late player Alan Ball, a drum skin signed by Jon Bon Jovi, a shirt signed by Ronaldinho and a signed U2 album.

A full list of lots can be found via the Jimmy Mizen Facebook page.
