Appeal after serious collision on A289

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses after two people, including one from Erith, sustained serious injuries following a collision on the A289. Officers were called to reports that a black Renault Megane had left the carriageway on the slip road for junction 1 of the M2 London-bound at 11.53pm on Monday October 29.

A man in his 20s from the Erith area sustained hip injuries and was taken to hospital.

A woman in her 30s from the Gillingham area sustained a head injury and was also taken to hospital.

Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are assessing the circumstances and would like to hear from anyone with information on the incident.

They are particularly keen for anyone with dash cam footage of the collision, or the vehicle travelling in the moments leading up to the collision, to get in contact.
