Accused to undergo tests

LAWYERS are seeking psychiatric tests for an alleged knife murderer ahead of his trial. Michael Bowden, of Marden Square, Bermondsy, is due to stand trial at the Old Bailey on December 7 accused of killing Paul Martin in Greenwich town centre in March.

LAWYERS are seeking psychiatric tests for an alleged knife murderer ahead of his trial.

Michael Bowden, of Marden Square, Bermondsy, is due to stand trial at the Old Bailey on December 7 accused of killing Paul Martin in Greenwich town centre in March.

Appearing at the Old Bailey last Wednesday, the 27-year-old defendant pleaded not guilty. His alleged victim, a 25-year-old father, died from stab wounds near a phone box in Greenwich Church Street on March 29.
