If you are looking to build a business, plan your work around your family life and help people to slim and lead healthier lifestyles, then why not consider becoming a weightloss consultant.
Maybe you’re feeling uncertain about your current career whether that’s due to job security or the fact that you’d like to try a fresh challenge, and Slimming World is expanding and offering unique opportunities to become a successful Slimming World consultant.
You would joins a network of more than 15,000 groups. Groups can generate an income of approximately £100- £400 per week for approximately 15 to 20 hours a week. There is the potential for a full time income for part time hours!
Slimming World consultants are all former members who have lost weight with their Slimming World group, and managers who run Slimming World teams all started out as consultants.
Groups are run as franchises – micro businesses at the heart of communities – and there are currently over 4,000 Slimming World consultants across the UK.
“For anyone looking for more flexibility, wanting a role that fits around a busy family life, wanting to avoid a regular 9-to-5 routine, or looking to boost their income alongside other work commitments, a Slimming World franchise can be a great option.
“The role is rewarding, not only monetarily, but also gives so much satisfaction knowing that you have played a part in helping others change their lives for good,” said a spokesman.
You do not need any prior experience as foundation training is held at the Slimming World Academy which leads to diplomas in the nutrition and psychology of slimming, as well as training on starting and running your own Slimming World business. All training is completely free of charge.
Successful applicants would join a warm and friendly team managed by a local team developer who works side by side with all new consultants to help them, not only open a group, but also continue to grow and help members to lose weight. There are regular incentives which could lead to management career opportunities.
According to ACAS (Advisory, Conciliation, and Arbitration Service), it is estimated that 25 per cent of the UK workforce works part time and 80 per cent of part-time workers are women (acas.org.uk). However Slimming World also have many male consultants who are very successful and there are opportunities for all.
In the Bexley borough, there are opportunities to re-launch already established groups plus many more opportunities to open new groups in areas where growth is needed to give members more choice and greater availability to attend group weekly.
