Age UK Bexley is joining forces with a Welling pub to offer its members a better social life.
The New Cross Turnpike, in Bellegrove Road and part of the Wetherspoons chain, will be used as a meeting place for pensioners who want to have meal and gatherings together.
Age UK caters for people aged 50 and over.
Chief executive of Age UK Bexley Paul Goulden said: “What pensioners do and where they do it has been changing over recent years.
“By running events with Wetherspoons we are talking to people who might otherwise not have thought we had anything to offer.”
