Non-league day comes to Welling United on Saturday as the Wings welcome Kidderminster Harriers to Park View Road.

Neighbours Charlton Athletic, Millwall and Crystal Palace are not in action on Saturday (September 7) because of the international break so Welling are hoping fans of those clubs will come along to watch some non-league football and support the Wings - enjoying their first season in the Conference Premier for 13 years.

Kidderminster were runners-up in the division last season before losing out to Wrexham in the play-offs.

This time around they lie 12th after six games, one point ahead of Welling.

Non-league day is an annual event which celebrates grassroots football when England are in action.

Welling’s four game unbeaten run ended as they slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Hereford United on Saturday.

After a goalless first-half, Chris Sharp gave Hereford the lead after 49 minutes. Michael Rankine sealed the points before Wings striker Ross Lafayette grabbed a consolation in stoppage time, heading home a cross from Joe Healy.

The game against Kidderminster Harriers starts at 3pm, visit or call 0208 301 1196 for ticket details.
