Police are appealing for witnesses to an accident in Sidcup in which a pensioner died.

A 75-year-old woman was knocked down by a car at about 3pm yesterday in the car park of the David Lloyd Leisure Centre in Baugh Road. She was pronounced dead at the scene shortly afterwards.

Police believe she was standing by a parked car when a grey Mercedes A Class collided with her and two other parked vehicles.

The driver stopped at the scene - there have been no arrests.
