THE CREAM of London s culinary talent came together on Sunday to celebrate the very best in wining and dining in the capital.
THE CREAM of London's culinary talent came together on Sunday to celebrate the very best in wining and dining in the capital.
The Archant London Food and Drink Awards saw more than 600 restaurants battle it out for the prestigious crown of London's finest. Archant London is publisher of your Kentish Times series.
Regional winners across all categories packed out central London's Radisson hotel, Portman Square, on Sunday evening to learn who had scooped the top prizes.
Hundreds of Archant London readers nominated their favourite restaurants, while tens of thousands of food-loving customers voted for who they thought should win. Celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli presented gongs to the greatest chefs, restaurants and drinks masterminds.
Archant London managing director Enzo Testa said: "The overwhelming response from London diners, yet again re-enforces the quality and diversity of the regions eateries."
The Lang sen Vietnamese Restaurant in Bexleyheath was the overall winner.
The Bexley regional winners were: CHINESE: Hong Hong Palace, West Street, Erith; INDIAN: Baltizer Restaurant, Mill Row, Bexley High Street; GASTRO PUB: The Travellers Home, Long Lane, Bexleyheath; ITALIAN: Al Dente,Broadway, Bexleyheath and MODERN EUROPEAN Old Greek Taverna, High Street, Bexley Village.
