Armed police in Abbey Wood after man in his 50s shot

He is in a serious condition in hospital

A man in his 50s was shot in Abbey Wood yesterday (Thursday) evening.

Armed officers from Met Police were called to Bylands Close at 8.11pm, where they discovered the man.

He had suffered gunshot wounds to the leg and was taken to a London hospital.

His condition is serious but stable.

So far no arrests have been made as police continue their enquiries.
