A 28-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested after a woman was found murdered in her home.

Police found the body of Lisa Beverley, 30, at her home in Coupland Place, Plumstead last Wednesday (16) at approximately 6am.

She was pronounced dead at the scene and a post mortem at Greenwich Mortuary gave the cause of death as head injuries.

Police are treating the death as murder and last Wednesday evening (16) they arrested a 28-year-old man was later bailed to return on Wednesday (23).

DCI Brian Mather, who is leading the investigation, said: "We are trying to piece together the last hours of Lisa's life and we urgently need to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious. I'd appeal to residents to think back to Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning and whether they remember seeing someone hanging around or acting strangely in the area."

Anyone with information should call the incident room on 0208 345 3734 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
