Baby Holly born to Sidcup family on Christmas Day

An unexpected present arrived for a family when their fourth child was born on Christmas Day.
Aptly-named Holly Eleanor Mary Curtis was born five days late on Christmas morning at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich.
Mum Michaela Curtis, 28, said: “Everyone kept on joking it would be at Christmas and it happened. But it all went well. We went home later in the day and still had our dinner in the evening.”
She was also treated to Christmas lunch and a cracker in her hospital bed.
Michaela and husband Martin, of Burnt Oak Lane, Sidcup, now have four children, including son Dylan who is less than a year old.
They had time to see Owen, eight and Oscar, two, open their presents before going to hospital for the birth.
Michaela added: “I think it’s a bit of a shame for Holly because when she has a birthday party it will be overshadowed by Christmas.
“Maybe she can be like the Queen and have a second birthday in the summer.”
