Belvedere woman sentenced over part in Prabjot Singh Rayat Thamesmead murder

The third person convicted over the death of Bexleyheath businessman Prabjot Singh Rayat in Thamesmead has been sentenced to four years in prison.
Surinder Chana, of Lower Park Road, Belvedere, was cleared of murder but found guilty of robbery on Monday, April 15. She was sentenced at Wood Green Crown Court today (May 24).
The 44-year-old had known Mr Rayat for 15 years and had borrowed money from him in the past.
Robert Burrows, 34, also of Lower Park Road, and 40-year-old Henry Clifford Collins, of Mounts Road, Grenhithe, were convicted of his murder last month. Both were sentenced to life in jail with minimum terms of 23 years.
Mr Rayat was killed in his Thamesmead business, Rayat Autos, in Nathan Way, on June 8 last year.
