Belvedere youngster Maddox Fitzsimmons has been chosen as one of 15 children to attend an exclusive event at Chessington World of Adventures after winning a national Lego competition.

The six-year-old Bedonwell Primary School pupil will now be recognised as a brand ambassador for the latest Chima range after entering a competition in the LEGO Club Magazine.

Maddox and a friend will be the first in the country to experience the Chima Roadshow, see the new LEGO Chima sets first hand and meet the characters from the Legends of Chima. They will receive their VIP treatment on Monday (April 1).

Children were invited to design a new character or vehicle fit for the world of Lego Chima.

Maddox said: “I am so excited to have won the competition.

“I really like playing with my Lego sets all day long, and can’t wait to have fun at the Chima Challenge day with my family.”

Lego Chima spokeswoman Sally-Anne Weekes said: “Maddox was picked from over 100 entries to win the challenge. The competition was hugely successful and we received some fantastic creations so for him to be a winner demonstrates just how amazing his handiwork was!”
